1. Jeff Bezos

Jeff Bezos was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1964. His first school was a Montessori preschool in his hometown. The name of the preschool is unknown. He only attended the Montessori school for a year and a half. After preschool, the Bezos family moved to Houston, Texas. Here he stopped attending Montessori school and was enrolled in River Oaks Elementary School.

He finished his primary education at Miami Palmetto Senior High School in Pinecrest, Florida.

After high school, Jeff Bezos attended (and graduated from) Princeton University. Graduating from an Ivy League school is an incredible feat. Bezos’ early education at the Montessori school in New Mexico set him up for success.

While Bezos is better known for his multi-billion dollar company, Amazon, he is also known for opening several Montessori-inspired schools.

The Bezos Academy is comprised of several tuition-free preschools. These preschools are built in underserved neighborhoods.

These schools are open year-round and teach children based on the Montessori method. That said, these schools also use other curriculum methods to provide the best learning environment for children.

There are Bezos Academy in Texas, Florida, and the state of Washington. It is expected that these preschools will expand elsewhere.
