Furnishing one classroom is a purchasing job. Furnishing a campus, room by room, over months of openings is a purchasing job plus a logistics job. The Thailand school project in our records is the clearest case we have of the second kind: 302 purchase orders, product coverage across Children Furniture and Outdoor Playground, and a buying pattern that reads as a bulk program rather than a single shipment.
The client
A school group in Thailand equipping classroom and kindergarten spaces across campus buildings. Our internal account record lists 302 orders for this buyer and flags both high order frequency and bulk-purchase signals. The record keeps this program as an order log rather than a single dated contract, so what follows is built on order structure and product coverage, not on a project calendar.
What a campus fit-out actually needs
Three problems land at once in this kind of project. Rooms hold children of different ages, so table and chair heights cannot be one size. Teachers move materials between rooms, so storage has to roll or lift. And outdoor spaces need climbing and balance pieces that handle rain and sun, not just indoor finishes. On top of that, the buyer was not placing one order and waiting. Equipment arrived in waves as rooms came online, which is why the order count sits at 302 rather than at a handful.
What we supplied
The classroom side draws from our furniture range, where table models are offered in several height steps from one drawing. The Beech Square Table (F-T-W-009) is 60 × 60 cm and comes in 34, 40 and 50 cm heights, so the same table covers a nursery room and an older kindergarten room without changing the look. The rectangular Beech Table (F-T-W-010) follows the same pattern at 120 × 60 cm with 30, 40 and 50 cm legs. Seating includes the Cube Chair (F-S-W-016) at 30 × 30 × 30 cm, which stacks and works as either a seat or a low table. For materials storage, the 24 Tray Mobile Tower (F-C-W-148) is 95 × 45 × 130 cm and rolls between rooms on casters, so a tray set can follow the children instead of staying in one classroom. Outdoor Playground items cover climbing and balance pieces for the campus grounds. Across the catalog we list 1,555 SKUs, and 697 of them carry published dimensions, which is what makes room-by-room planning possible before anything ships.
How 302 orders run
This was never one container. It is a container-scale project delivered as a stream of purchase orders, each sized to a batch of rooms. That structure has practical consequences. Packing lists and item codes matter more than a single grand invoice, because each order has to be matched to the rooms it serves. It also means repeat orders land on the same item codes, so a chair delivered in one wave matches a chair delivered a year later. For buyers planning a campus in phases, this is the part worth copying: fix your item codes early, then order in room batches.
Documentation that travels with the goods
School purchasing in Thailand, like most government-adjacent buying, runs on paperwork. Two documents do the heavy lifting for this product mix. Wooden children’s tables and chairs carry SGS report NBHL2205008296TY (EN71-1:2014+A1:2018, EN71-2:2020, EN71-3:2019+A1:2021), tested in May 2022 and rated for children one year and older. For the classroom table line specifically, certificate UTT202312512C, issued 2023-12-29, covers EN 1729-1:2015 and EN 1729-2:2012+A1:2015 on table model EV-TBTR6676. EN 1729 is the European standard that sets chair and table dimensions against pupil size, and very few suppliers of wooden classroom furniture hold a report against it. If your tender asks for it, that is the certificate number to quote.
On materials, the school furniture line runs on E0-grade birch plywood and non-toxic paint. As a rough guide our sales engineering team gives buyers: 12 mm plywood is a one-to-two-year panel, 15 mm is a three-to-five-year panel, and 18 mm is the panel specified for daycare work that expects a decade of use. Treat these as planning ranges, not guarantees.
What you can copy from this program
- Decide your table heights by age group first, then pick the model. One model in three heights keeps a campus visually consistent and keeps reorders simple.
- Order in room batches with fixed item codes. Large programs fail on matching, not on manufacturing.
- Ask your supplier for report numbers, not certificates by name. NBHL2205008296TY and UTT202312512C are the kind of references a tender committee can verify.
- Plan outdoor items in the same program as indoor ones when the campus opens in phases. Splitting them across suppliers doubles your shipping coordination.
